New Fund for North East Organisations Announced

Family food business Dicksons has set up a new fund to help community groups across the North East.

The fund will be managed by the Community Foundation serving Tyne and Wear and Northumberland and is open to voluntary and community organisations across the region.

Dicksons is an established family cooked meats company employing over 200 staff across the North East, and has revealed the motivation for the fund is to give something back to its local community.

Managing director Michael Dickson said:

“Dicksons has always supported local charities and causes, but the creation of the Dicksons Fund helps us to formalise our commitment.

“Creating a fund with the Community Foundation means that we are more accessible to people who need our support and it is our way of giving back to the communities that have helped to make our business the success it is today.”
