Sanctuary Housing Welcomes Applications to its Grand Ideas Fund

The Grand Ideas Fund continues to accept applications from charities, residents’ groups and voluntary organisations that need funding for projects that will make a positive difference to the lives of Sanctuary Housing Association residents.

Sanctuary Housing Association, a registered charity, and one of the largest social landlords in England and Scotland provides funding through its Grand Ideas Fund to support Sanctuary Housing neighbourhoods and enhance the lives of local people.

Community and residents groups, voluntary groups, social enterprises, community interest companies, registered charities, schools and statutory organisations that are working in the interests of Sanctuary Housing residents and their community can apply for a grant of up to £1,000 as long as they have a formal constitution or legal structure; a bank account in the organisation's name, and an equal opportunities policy.

To be eligible, projects should address at least one of the five priority themes:

  • Employment, education, skills and training
  • Health and wellbeing.
  • Community safety and infrastructure
  • Environment.
  • Financial inclusion

The priority locations for 2018 include:

  • Ely
  • Ipswich
  • South End
  • Brighton & Hove
  • Haringey
  • Westminster
  • Greenwich
  • Worcestershire
  • Birmingham
  • Liverpool
  • Wirral
  • Sheffield
  • Hull
  • Stoke on Trent
  • Rotherham
  • Scarborough
  • Doncaster
  • Skipton
  • Cornwall
  • Exeter
  • Plymouth

The main focus of the activity must mainly benefit Sanctuary Housing residents, have a community focus and be open to, and inclusive of, all.

Applications can be submitted until February 2018 at which point the fund will be reviewed.
